Britons Arms is Norwich’s best kept secret. Situated in Elm Hill, on the old cobbled road not far from the cathedral, awaits a warm, welcoming, quaint restaurant. I have dined there while visiting Norwich with my sister and while working away from home. Richard who runs the restaurant is always welcoming and lovely to chat with. His menu has a great variety and the food is exquisite. I always feel spoilt for choice. The puddings are to live for! and there is a nice selection of wine and spirit’s. I love the quirky building, one of the oldest buildings in Norwich, which was in the film Stardust. If you visit in the warmer months it’s nice to eat in the little secret garden which is adjacent to the church garden. The atmosphere is very relaxed and arty with a friendly rustic feel. I almost forgot to mention the home made cakes! Pop in for coffee and cake while out shopping, you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this wonderful gem and looking forward to my next visit.

This is definitely a Norwich hidden gem. The food and wine was excellent while we were able look through a great selection of second books, including cook books. The service was warm and welcoming and we able to order from both the lunch and dinner menus. The desserts did not disappoint and rounded of a great meal very well.

A beautiful historic building in Elm Hill in Norwich which serves great food and drinks. The service was friendly and efficient, the food great although the sausage roll was a bit cold inside. We look forward to trying the Sunday roast.

Great place to have a Sunday Roast. Food was delicious, all of it. Service a tad slow, but there was only 2 of them, and they were very lovely young people. Absolutely highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!

Love this place and its surroundings. I like how we can assemble our own breakfast and just choose what we like :) Mushroom was the highlight of my plate, very fresh and flavourful. Pork sausage is great too! The only thing was the oat latte was a bit weak, if you like stronger milk-added coffee then probably go for flat white or cappuccino.

Fantastically quaint little retreat. The atmosphere and staff were great. The coffee and walnut cake was a little dry but the mocha was one of the best. Loved the cast iron pot for the tea. When we're hungry for more, this is certainly one of the places we want to revisit as the food coming out looked great.

Visited this lovely eatery for dinner. The chef was visible behind the glass window into the kitchen which was a nice touch. The menu had a nice varied selection, of maybe 6 main dishes. Fish meat and veggie options. Our meals were delicious, the fish was moist, perfectly cooked, the Venison nicely pink. Rack of lamb was really tasty. Really great value in my opinion. A real fine.
